Mount Airy Chiro

I have found that doing less stretches longer is more effective (holding 20-30 seconds, 4-5 repetions). Also, a third stretch, with the foot flexed (same as the calf stretch, but liftinf the heel off the floor until you feel the stretch under the foot) is a big help. Some physical therapy modalities, like electric stim or ultrasound (applied by a PT or a chiropractor) can be helpful as well.

Also, if the plantar fascitis remains stubborn in spite of resting and home treatment, check out other possibilities: my persistent foot pain led me to get retested for Lyme Disease - which turned out to be positive.
